Master Keys unlocks Keyed Different locks within its group

Grand Master Keys unlock Keyed Different locks across groups

Example:

In a hotel, the guests will have a room key, the room key can only unlock their own room, they can not unlock other guests’ rooms.  The guest keys are Keyed Different.

There is a floor manager with a key that can unlock all doors on their floor ( ie., open all rooms on the fifth floor) but they can not open rooms on other floors. They have a Master Key for their floor.

Then there is a general manager that has a key that can unlock rooms on all floors. They have a Grand Master Key for the hotel.
